National Sorry Day – May 26
07 Jun 2017
This year’s National Sorry Day was organised and led by Gordon McDonald (Junior), with MSS participating in and being a major sponsor for the event.
MSS CEO, Management and staff attended the National Sorry Day event, holding a stall with service information and activities for community members.
The beautiful weather allowed all those present to stand or sit in the sun and experience a group of Taree High School students perform traditional dance. Then Aboriginal Elders shared their stories of the Stolen Generation, and explained the intergenerational effect this trauma, pain and suffering still has on Aboriginal people today.
MSS is proud to be supporting and strengthening the bonds with our local Aboriginal communities.
